Heavenly Bamboo is an upright evergreen shrub grown for its interesting canes of bamboo-like foliage with variety of fall colors. The tiny white flowers are followed by red berries that persist in winter. Best planted in part sun with rich, moist well-drained soils. The leaves and berries are highly toxic to animals. Can be invasive in some Southern states.
