Zorro Hydrangea is a compact deciduous shrub with sturdy purple-black stems and dark green leaves that turn red in fall. The lacecap flower clusters bloom on old wood and are a combination of large and tiny flowers with color that depends on the soil PH - acidic soils produce blue while alkaline soils produce pink. The flowers attract pollinators. Best bloom in partial sun and rich, moist well-drained soils.
