Canada Red Chokecherry is a native deciduous tree with a straight trunk and oval to rounded crown. Its foliage is rich green in spring that quickly turns a deep burgundy red by summer, then turns bright red in fall. White spring flowers are followed by berries that mature to black and can be used in cooking. Flowers best in full sun and rich moist well-drained soils.
