Prime Time Russian Sage is a compact woody perennial with fine aromatic silver-green foliage. Whorls of dusky purple calyxes holding fragrant blue flowers on airy pinnacles cover the stems from summer into fall. Best flowering in full sun and well-drained soils. Drought tolerant once established. DO NOT eat the leaves- they are mildly toxic, however the flowers are edible and have a peppery flavor.
