Colossus Fire Pansy is a vigorous perennial with a dense and tight, non-stretching habit and dark green leaves. The extra large upward facing flowers that open a sunny yellow that turn to deep red from the edges in and have with a black blotch bloom from fall through spring in mild winters. Prefers full sun and moist well-drained soils. The Colossus series has improved heat and humidity tolerance and can tolerate a hard freeze if the soil is not dry, otherwise may experience dieback in harsh winters to return in spring.
