Montague Cleyera is a compact evergreen shrub with a dense upright habit and glossy deep green foliage that emerges bronzy maroon. Its fragrant downward-facing clusters of white flowers bloom in late spring followed by shiny black fruit. Grows best with part sun and moist, well-drained soil.
