Solar Flare Coleus is a tender shade-loving evergreen perennial treated as an annual and grown primarily for its dramatic foliage. The large, strongly scalloped foliage is a deep near black burgundy with a large dark red center flame and fine gold margins. Its late summer bloom is non showy and is often removed to maintain foliage display. Best color in part sun and moist, loose well-drained soils. Tolerates full sun, with the burgundy tint shifting toward red with sun.
