Regal Red Crape Myrtle is a large deciduous shrub with an upright broad crown and smooth exfoliating bark.  Its glossy deep green foliage turns a vibrant orange red with fall.  Its frilly rich red panicles bloom on new wood through summer into fall.  Best color in full sun and rich well-drained soil.  Regal Red has good powdery mildew resistance, and tolerates salt, drought, and humidity.
