Dusky Maiden Smoketree is a compact multi-stemmed deciduous shrub with an upright rounded habit. The round leaves emerge rich burgundy and gradually turn blue-green in late summer before exploding into scarlet, orange, and yellow for fall. Dramatic airy red-pink hair billows from the tiny yellow flowers from late spring to midsummer attracting butterflies. Best blooms occur in full sun and well-drained soil.
