Sunset Dwarf Red Hot Poker is a compact semi-evergreen perennial with upright grass like dark green leaves. A succession of thick showy spikes sporting a bottle -brush like cluster of flowers that transition from bright yellow at the bottom of the spike to rich orange at the tips bloom on naked stems throughout summer into fall. Best color in full sun and rich well-drained soil. The flowers attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.
