At ServeScape, we believe that everyone should have access to food-producing, pollinating, and native plants to build beautiful and resilient communities. Our Community Ambassador Program is comprised of local schools, parks, non-profits, HOAs, and community organizations that share ServeScape’s mission to build a more beautiful and resilient community. Through partnerships, education, and discounts on plants, the Ambassador program empowers individuals and organizations to make sustainable plant choices, fostering healthier and greener neighborhoods together.
As an intern with the ServeScape Community Ambassador Program, you will play a crucial role in helping us expand and strengthen our program. You will have the opportunity to work closely with our team and gain hands-on experience in community outreach and program development. Your contributions will directly impact the success and growth of the program, making a lasting difference in the lives of community members.
Duration: June – August
Location: 5388 Peachtree Rd, Atlanta, GA 30341
Pay: $16/hr
Hours: 15-20 per week
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the team to develop and implement strategies to recruit and onboard community ambassadors.
Assist in planning and organizing community events, workshops, and initiatives.
Conduct outreach to local organizations, businesses, and community groups to establish partnerships and expand program visibility.
Support the development of marketing materials to support the program including print and digital.
Help monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, collecting feedback and making recommendations for improvement.
Provide administrative support, including data entry, scheduling, and maintaining program documentation.
Attend and support plant installation at partner locations by taking photos/video, ensuring photo release forms are signed, and additional duties as needed.
Develop an engaging social media strategy supporting the growth of the Ambassador program.
Minimum Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a degree program related to community development, marketing/communications, design, or a relevant field.
Strong passion for community engagement and social impact.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong time management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with online collaboration tools.
The candidate must have some graphic design skills to create consistent, meaningful content on all social media platforms, including writing and editing posts, improving customer engagement, and promoting marketing through social media campaigns.
Willingness to learn and take on new tasks as the need arises.
Photography and video shooting and editing skills a plus.
Previous experience in community outreach, event planning, or program development is a plus.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including some nights and weekends as needed.
