Here are a few of the best fall vegetables to grow in Georgia. And just in case all these veggies make you hungry, we’ve included perfect recipes to try with each plant and serve your family and friends.

1. Green Magic Broccoli

A cool-season annual, Green Magic Broccoli (Brassica oleracea italica) has long blue-green basal foliage that’s grown for its large, edible flower head. The flower head grows on a thick stem.

The best time to harvest is when the flower head is firm (before any flowers bloom). Cut the stem about 5-6" below the base of the head to allow regrowth and production of side shoots. It’s ready to harvest in as little as 60-days!
