Before & After: Landscape Design Transformations

Over the years, our ServeScape landscape designers have had the privilege of reimagining front yards, back yards, curbsides, patios, and more in Atlanta and the surrounding areas.

From an antebellum carriage house's garden to a Netflix front yard house project, here's a photo round-up of our favorite before-and-after landscape transformations to give you inspiration this spring!

1. Horse Barn Hosta Garden

This beautiful Horse Barn Garden was designed in Spring 2022 in Atlanta, Georgia. Nestled under the spreading branches of a pecan tree, the garden design features lush green Guacamole Hostas that thrive in the shade.

2. Restful Deck & Garden

This design went from an empty grass area to a full “Rest and Be Thankful” deck overlooking a container garden growing vegetables. Design tip: create a backyard that is practical and aesthetically pleasing!

3. Front Yard Tranquility 

For this design, our ServeScape designers wanted to enhance the curb appeal and overall look of the house. We installed flower beds with vertical interest around the trees, added flower boxes, and lovely front porch steps. 

4. Southern Fern Way

In August 2022, the ServeScape team was asked to redesign the landscape for Episode 1 of Netflix's Instant Dream Home.

To meet the needs of the show, the install had to be quick. These before and after pics were only eight hours apart! The team filled the front walkway with lovely ferns, providing a serene path to the newly designed home. 

5. The Perfect Patio

A backyard patio should shine and be a place of relaxation during the day or at night. Along with seating and a grassy area, string lights were hung for a cozy atmosphere. 

6. Antebellum Carriage House

An antebellum carriage house is charming in its own right. At this location, we wanted the walkway and sides to match. A brick patio was added to this design with a lovely garden bed to the side. 

7. Monticello Curb Appeal

Last January, we went to a gorgeous mansion in Monticello, Georgia. Rather than leaving the curb bare, our designers built a curbside wall and incorporated feathery grass to create visual interest.
