Sweet Kate Spiderwort is a native compact herbaceous perennial noted for its yellow lily like foliage. Small 3-petaled violet-blue colored flowers with yellow stamen last for only a day but bloom continuously on the stiff stems above the foliage for several weeks in spring. Best color with full sun and moist, well-drained acidic soils. Sweet Kate tolerates wet soils and is self cleaning.
