Lipstick Ornamental Strawberry is a compact herbaceous perennial primarily grown for its ornamental value, rather then its fruit.  The coarse-toothed deep green foliage is coated in small numerous bright red flowers with yellow centers from late spring into summer.  Occasionally small edible berries will follow the flowers, and if picked will prompt another bloom.   Blooms best with full sun and fertile well-drained soil.   Lipstick is resistant to the typical diseases and pests for strawberries.
