Prima Ginger Coneflower is a compact freely branching native perennial with strong upright stems that do not need staking and aromatic dark green foliage. Heavy blooms of fragrant multicolored flowers with large raised cones that open orange and age to soft pink start in early summer continue until the first frost. Thrives in full sun and well-drained soils. The flowers attract butterflies and bees, and spent stems will stay erect and attract birds if not removed. Drought tolerant.
