Begonia 'Treasure'

Treasure Begonia is a small mounding tropical perennial with hairy stems and dramatic highly glossed silvery green foliage with contrasting burgundy undersides.  The clusters of small pink flowers bloom in summer.  Flowers best in part shade and rich, moist well-drained soils.  Can be treated as a perennial outside in zone 7 if heavily mulched in winter.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low maintenance.  Keep soils consistently moist.  Mulch heavily in winter if winters are cold.  New foliage is often late to appear.

LANDSCAPE USES:  Accents or Group Plantings, Borders, Woodland Gardens, Naturalized Areas, Wildlife Garden, Foundational Plantings, and Containers.
